About Iron Lungs

Welcome to the version 2.1 of Iron Lungs, a place where you can find everything you need to know about Kotani Kinya.

This page is dedicated to Kotani Kinya, my favorite japanese singer and actor. Online for the first time on July 16th, 2003, it was a present for his 24th birthday.

My first encounter with Kinya was the song "Glaring Dream", which made me fell instantly in love. That was in 2001. Ever since, I've been collecting information about who he is, and following his progress in the japanese entertainment world. The more I find out about him, the more I love him. That makes me want to support him in any ways I can, even if it's just by spreading information about him and buying his CDs.

Kinya is a very lovable, hard-working guy with seemingly everlasting energy. That is also why I baptized this page with the name Iron Lungs - to honor his powerful voice and energy.

This page is basically made for those who really want to get to know Kinya better - who he is, what he's been doing, and what he has achieved. Since most of Kinya fan-pages are made in Japanese, I hope this page could be a useful source for his foreign fans.

           KINYA NEWS

Since the renewal of R and C Ltd. website Kinya's name seems to disappear from their website. MEDALIST is currently working to find why this happened.

Also, NHK has cancelled the broadcasting of third season of Tsubasa Chronicle, which was supposed to be broadcasted in April 2007. NHK ETV, where E stands for 'Education', has a 'No Violence, No Alcohol' policy and this lead to the NHK Censure, causing the cancellation. This means that we won't be able to hear Kinya's song which was made for the opening.
